Underwear. It is the one thing every woman has in her closet, and for most women very few people actually see what kind of underwear they wear. Still, women spend hundreds on these garments worn under clothes and a lot of thought goes into what kind of garment to purchase. Here is a guide to some of the more well know styles.

Boy Shorts

These are perfect for the athletic girl. Some boy shorts have enough fabric that they can be worn around the house with a t-shirt and won’t raise an eyebrow. This is a comfortable style, but the cotton version can be a bit bulky under dress pants or jeans.

Granny Panties

This is a popular style for the older generation. It offers 100% coverage, leaving nothing for an accidental peak. This is also a comfortable style for a woman on her period. It's not a bad idea to have a pair in the back of the underwear drawer just in case.

Bikini Bottoms

This is a classic simple style. Most girls start out with this style and tons of women carry it into their adult lives. It’s comfortable, and this style can be found in tons of prints or with lace or jewel embellishments. It offers the sass of more sophisticated styles but the comfort of a basic cut.

Cheekers

This is similar to the boy short style, but the cut goes across the cheek of the butt. It helps eliminate the dreaded panty lines, but is a good option for those not comfortable with a thong.

Thong

This style features a strip of fabric that runs up the butt crack. It also eliminates panty lines, and is a extremely popular style for the younger generation. It’s a bit naughty, a bit risky, but still has an edge of feminine flair.

G-String

This is sexy. This pushes the envelope. This style usually features a lacy or silky front with a simple string going up the back. It can be very exhilarating to wear this style, however, it is also a style that takes some time to get use to and is not right for everyone.

No matter what style a woman wears she should always try and get a matching bra. A matching undergarment set, even if there is no one to enjoy it, can put a spruce in a woman’s step and can change a woman’s attitude about her self-imagine. It’s an instant confidence boost!

It’s the first thing a woman puts on in the morning and the last thing she takes off at night. Take a little time and figure out the perfect style!
