Despite the rumors, the Smith marriage is still stable and in tact.

The rumor mill is a dangerous thing, and what starts as a simple statement can quickly spin into a he story. The rumor that Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are calling it quits after fourteen years of marriage proved to be just that-a rumor.

Trey Smith, Will’s son from his first marriage, sent out this message via the social network Twitter: "Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split! False information.” Trey encouraged all his followers to retweet the information.

MTV reported that the original rumor that surfaced focused on Jada. This rumor stated that Jada had an affair with her “Hawthorne” co-star Marc Anthony, who recently split from his wife Jennifer Lopez. Jada’s rep Karyanne Tencer stated "All the rumors regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue.” Tencer added “"As for [the reports of a split between] Will and Jada, I'm not commenting on their personal life.”

According to an article on The Envelope, InTouch Magazine first reported the alleged separation online on Tuesday. They sited an unnamed “insider” and teased the story for their print edition.

"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact,” Jada and Will said in a joint statement.

US Weekly also cited an “insider” but this one claimed that the rumors of the split were “total bull”. Other sources said that the couple was “totally together” and that “all is good in their relationship.”

Jada and Will met on the set of Fresh Prince of Bel Air in 1990. The couple became Mr. and Mrs. On New Year’s Eve 1997. The couple have two children, 13 year old Jaden and 10 year old Willow. They also raise 18 year old Trey, from Will’s first marriage.

This is not the first time the Smiths have dealt with rumors. In 2009 Jada talked about other rumors she had heard, including that their marriage was fake, Will was gay and that the couple swing. In that radio interview she was quoted as saying "But at the end of the day, people have to believe what they have to believe. I'll tell you what, it's too hard to be in a pretend marriage. Life's too short for that one."

According to an article from US Magazine, Jada recently appeared in CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight with Will accompanying her. We watched from the wings, and according to a show source “He stood in the wings and flew in to be by her side. They were super affectionate. They were like teenagers, so in love!”

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith seem to be in for the long haul.
